The bill (Reg. No.7073) liquidates
the tax police.
The Committee members declared that the State Revenue Service of Ukraine was a civil service non-affiliated with the law-enforcement agencies; hence, the tax police should not be subordinate to it.
The People´s Deputies believe that liquidation of the tax police will optimize the organization of the tax and law-enforcement bodies, eradicating corruption.
The bill liquidates the special tax police, amending the Law "On the State Revenue Service of Ukraine" and other laws.
Authorities of the tax police connected with the investigation and search, and criminal-procedural activities, investigation and execution of administrative cases shall be transferred to the law-enforcement bodies.
The Committee members believe that adoption of the Law will optimize the system of tax and law-enforcement bodies, improve the business conditions, and reduce the level of corruption in Ukraine.
